Bushnell Elite 4200 Riflescope Excellent!

It 's done! Saturday, November 1

4:08:26 personal best! 42 minutes less than the previous record!

Extraordinary .... it's only my second marathon (and even the first was here in New York), but I can say that this is the marathon "the most extraordinary of the world" ... for the type of route: ups and downs in the long run they feel in the legs, landscape and, above all, public participation ... 2 million people to encourage them at all times, allowing you to raise the action if you feel fatigue in the legs.

7 hours, we are already starting on the Verrazano Bridge. It's cold ... we all seem small Yogi wrapped in sweaters, jackets and blankets. The departure of most of our group is set for 10:20 ...

10:20 pm: Notes on the New York New York part of the race to be drunk in front of 42 km ... all in one go. Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Manhattan are the districts that cross ... look at the horizon of the other Verrazzano Bridge and see the skyline of Manhattan with its famous skyscrapers. We need to make the road ... down there are small children ... and it makes you exclaim "Mamma Mia" ... the very thought that we will reach there.

The first 10 km run away without even noticing, so much has been taken to everything going on around you. I also had time to make small movies that you can see in my page on facebook. Beyond that you're busy running to give five to hundreds of children at the roadside and to hear the bands scattered along the streets.
54'55''transition to 10 km. 1 hour

55'53''is the shift in mid-race. Where normally most of the time you end up ... here is only half. The race row via smooth smooth. I do not feel the fatigue, nor even in front of us I think there are still 21 km.
I'm anxiously awaiting the dreaded Queensboro Bridge, over 1 mile of the bridge ... there is that last year I slowed almost to a stop because of the injury to the knee, which I was tormented by two month. From that bridge, located at 25 km mark, you do not go ahead with only the physical but also his head.
and the bridge comes harder than ever ... ... I drink it all in one breath. Where last year I walked, this year surpass those who walk.
The end of the bridge puts the shivers - sharp bend to the left - and suddenly you're greeted by the roar of thousands of people who are waiting for you. Stuff chills just thinking about it ... eyes shine ... you can watch the video of this moment ever in my facebook page. All quiet

flies up to 30 km mark, where around in 2:46 ': 17''... with a time of final projection around 3 hours and 53'.

From this moment I begin to experience the first signs of fatigue. I got the enthusiasm during the first 3 hours too fast ... 10''/ 15''less than expected at Km ... legs gets tough ... I want to finish within 4 hours and 10 '. .. grit my teeth, I slow down ... i km to 40 ° are the hardest ... At 40 °

I realize that the goal of 4 hours and 10 'is reached and then decide to enjoy it ... I greet the audience ... arms up .... head up confiscated every emotion ... I'm living inside of me ... I welcome the emotions of 2 million people who cry out to the sides of the street and say, with a gaze of admiration which is now done!

Last Mile: the apotheosis cry ... a unique, intense ... the public seems to one person ... move their arms up, stretch your hand to give you five, smiling as if they were people known to be a life you lead them to the finish ... .... until missing 400 yards ... and that, despite the cheering suddenly ... ... you are alone with yourself ... you want to enjoy the last minute of this effort. See the bottom of the line. Get settled in your shirt. You realize that you did it ... once again ... bring back the feeling inside you ... not to forget it and then be able to use in the future when you need it. E 'mixed emotions of happiness, perseverance, commitment, dream, satisfaction, persistence, success, honesty, pain ... what else can be made, as well as a marathon, reliance on these qualities. INFINITE!

And endless are the tears when you pass under the finish line, arms raised ... I bent down to kiss the road as Gelindo Bordin victorious at the finish of the Olympiad in Seoul 1988.

They put the medal around his neck ... then walk together with the other finishers to take the bag with a change of clothes. There is silence in those 20 minutes of walking ... I remember the feeling ... but the big pain in the legs and the desire for a hot shower, an hour of sleep and then a dinner made up of all the rubbish we have not eaten in recent months.

4:08:26

Thanks for watching this year in this adventure (you are also finishers with me).

A hug,

Alessio

Vanguard Tripod Heads Good Buy

There we are!

the 21:18 am on November 1, in just over 12 hours will be by way of New York City Marathon.
Tonight carbohydrate rich dinner after a day of rest was to be but we've been around the 5th Avenue shops of the rich (we thought less of the slack, since it is located a short walk from our hotel, but so it was not).

the 21:20 am, we just got back atmosphere, unlike yesterday's quiet, almost waiting. The days are past the Village on Saturday and is now time to make room for the hopes of 38,000 runners. In the corridor leading to my room there is a surreal silence, some ports have the card "do not disturb" sign hung outside. Everything is silent. I just finished preparing the material on race clothing, creams, patches, watch, sweater and an anorak to get hot at the start. The shoes are still at the foot of the bed, they too are ready for this new challenge that awaits us. The alarm clock for 4:45, the bus leaves at 5:30 direction Verrazzano Bridge where we will arrive for the 7. The start of the race at 10:20 (16:20 Italian time).
This year I'm going to go down under the wall of 4 hours. The signs are encouraging at the moment.
3h59'59''is the goal ... we'll see what happens tomorrow ... 42 km are always an unknown because you do not know how your body reacts. The biggest obstacle at around 25 km mark, the Queensboro Bridge ... 1 km from bridge to climb the winds and they cut my face. From there it goes on your head.

the 21:32 am, I do not know what I wrote above, and I did not even want to read it again. I'm beginning to feel the emotions of the race. Another year of training is passato.1600 mileage (Monza, Badia, Milan, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Ferrara, Rome, Latina, Verona ...), the satisfaction to be here again, not as prepared ever, is great.

Now, since I am a bit 'too discursive, and it seems also to speak in tones a bit' too epic, I wish you good night ... and ... I urge you to log on late tomorrow night or Monday morning to follow the story ... the race.

Goodnight,

Alessio

PS Title of the day: "This year we are really on track" ☺

Log Book - New York

Good afternoon everyone,

too tired to write last night for New York ... is so great that, as long as you do two things, and one day if they have already passed. To tell the truth it seems that even existed ☺

spring day yesterday, so it can only go out and sweater ... ... ... especially on Halloween. It 's amazing how the city life to this party ... millions of people form around the city aimed in large part to Greenwich Village to attend and participate in the traditional Parade complete with floats.

What have we done today?

traditional visit to the World Trade Center to see how the recovery of the area and then the afternoon dedicated to the cultural growth by visiting the MOMA, Museum of Modern Art
58,500 square feet on six floors, a real artistic universe of more than 10,000. Patino masterpieces such as Picasso, Cezanne, Pollock and many others. Five sections: painting and sculpture, architecture and design, drawings, prints and illustrate books, movies and media.
suggest you go here on Friday to enjoy free ☺

In the evening dinner at a Mexican restaurant with Marco and Fabio, two dear Italian friends here in these days to work, Giampiero, the immigrant success - 3 years here in New York, and Pia, a friend of Mark who teaches economics at the University of New York.

Not much else to tell today ... and not even interesting photos to be published.
order not to lose the good habits I post a photo of me taken shortly after accepting the chest under the sign indicating the number of hours at the start of the marathon.

Feelings of today? On Friday, like last year, is special. You are here for a couple of days and two more are missing in the Marathon (obviously with a capital M) ... sometimes we forget the real reason we're here ... until someone makes him out eh ... it's hard to believe ☺

The hotel is filling up more and more of Runners. We are now likely to complete and is reflected by the comings and goings of people in the lobby and common areas of confusion. Noise, fun, fun ... the Marathon is still far off in our heads ... but tomorrow will not.

title of the day: "Why are we here?" ☺

A tonight with a report on Saturday,

Alessio
