Bushnell Elite 4200 Riflescope Excellent!

It 's done! Saturday, November 1

4:08:26 personal best! 42 minutes less than the previous record!

Extraordinary .... it's only my second marathon (and even the first was here in New York), but I can say that this is the marathon "the most extraordinary of the world" ... for the type of route: ups and downs in the long run they feel in the legs, landscape and, above all, public participation ... 2 million people to encourage them at all times, allowing you to raise the action if you feel fatigue in the legs.

7 hours, we are already starting on the Verrazano Bridge. It's cold ... we all seem small Yogi wrapped in sweaters, jackets and blankets. The departure of most of our group is set for 10:20 ...

10:20 pm: Notes on the New York New York part of the race to be drunk in front of 42 km ... all in one go. Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Manhattan are the districts that cross ... look at the horizon of the other Verrazzano Bridge and see the skyline of Manhattan with its famous skyscrapers. We need to make the road ... down there are small children ... and it makes you exclaim "Mamma Mia" ... the very thought that we will reach there.

The first 10 km run away without even noticing, so much has been taken to everything going on around you. I also had time to make small movies that you can see in my page on facebook. Beyond that you're busy running to give five to hundreds of children at the roadside and to hear the bands scattered along the streets.
54'55''transition to 10 km. 1 hour

55'53''is the shift in mid-race. Where normally most of the time you end up ... here is only half. The race row via smooth smooth. I do not feel the fatigue, nor even in front of us I think there are still 21 km.
I'm anxiously awaiting the dreaded Queensboro Bridge, over 1 mile of the bridge ... there is that last year I slowed almost to a stop because of the injury to the knee, which I was tormented by two month. From that bridge, located at 25 km mark, you do not go ahead with only the physical but also his head.
and the bridge comes harder than ever ... ... I drink it all in one breath. Where last year I walked, this year surpass those who walk.
The end of the bridge puts the shivers - sharp bend to the left - and suddenly you're greeted by the roar of thousands of people who are waiting for you. Stuff chills just thinking about it ... eyes shine ... you can watch the video of this moment ever in my facebook page. All quiet

flies up to 30 km mark, where around in 2:46 ': 17''... with a time of final projection around 3 hours and 53'.

From this moment I begin to experience the first signs of fatigue. I got the enthusiasm during the first 3 hours too fast ... 10''/ 15''less than expected at Km ... legs gets tough ... I want to finish within 4 hours and 10 '. .. grit my teeth, I slow down ... i km to 40 ° are the hardest ... At 40 °

I realize that the goal of 4 hours and 10 'is reached and then decide to enjoy it ... I greet the audience ... arms up .... head up confiscated every emotion ... I'm living inside of me ... I welcome the emotions of 2 million people who cry out to the sides of the street and say, with a gaze of admiration which is now done!

Last Mile: the apotheosis cry ... a unique, intense ... the public seems to one person ... move their arms up, stretch your hand to give you five, smiling as if they were people known to be a life you lead them to the finish ... .... until missing 400 yards ... and that, despite the cheering suddenly ... ... you are alone with yourself ... you want to enjoy the last minute of this effort. See the bottom of the line. Get settled in your shirt. You realize that you did it ... once again ... bring back the feeling inside you ... not to forget it and then be able to use in the future when you need it. E 'mixed emotions of happiness, perseverance, commitment, dream, satisfaction, persistence, success, honesty, pain ... what else can be made, as well as a marathon, reliance on these qualities. INFINITE!

And endless are the tears when you pass under the finish line, arms raised ... I bent down to kiss the road as Gelindo Bordin victorious at the finish of the Olympiad in Seoul 1988.

They put the medal around his neck ... then walk together with the other finishers to take the bag with a change of clothes. There is silence in those 20 minutes of walking ... I remember the feeling ... but the big pain in the legs and the desire for a hot shower, an hour of sleep and then a dinner made up of all the rubbish we have not eaten in recent months.

4:08:26

Thanks for watching this year in this adventure (you are also finishers with me).

A hug,

Alessio
